3rd SEPTEMBER, 2023 – 22nd SUNDAY
Nativity Novena in preparation of the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary organized by Sunday school has begun. All Sunday school children to come for Novenas every day. Rosary begins at sharp 6:30pm followed by mass at 7pm. Parents are requested to get their children every day with the offerings of the day. Tomorrow the offering is FULL MASOOR/ AKHA MASOOR. Novena prayers to Our Lady will be recited everyday at morning and evening masses.
Joint PPC/SCC Meeting will be held on Wednesday, 6th September at 07:45pm in the AV Hall. Kindly collect agenda from the sacristy.
A Session on MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS will be conducted for adults by Sr. Joyce, a trained counselor in English & Hindi on Sunday, 10th September, immediately after the children’s mass in the AV Hall. All parishioners are invited for this important session. It is compulsory for Parent’s of Sunday school & Confirmation students. Kindly spread the word around.
As we celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the parish, a MARIAN WALKING PILGRIMAGE is organized from Jogeshwari to Mount Mary Basilica, Bandra on Saturday, 16th September. Pilgrimage will leave from the Church at sharp 3:30am for mass at Mount Mary’s at 7:30 am followed by tea and refreshments. Those interested kindly give your name to your PPC/SCC leaders latest by 12th September.
Hindi mass will be celebrated on September 17th at 5:30pm. Kindly inform Hindi speaking parishioners.
One day picnic for Children and Youth to Aksa Beach is organized on Tuesday, 19th September. Cost per head is Rs 50. Those interested kindly fill the registration forms available in the church office latest by 15th September. Kindly carry dry snacks and lunch. Bus leaves at sharp 7am in the morning.
A Four day Youth Retreat from 20th Sept to 23rd Sept during Ganesh Chaturthi holidays is organized at Pastoral Centre, Nanbhat, Vasai. This year we plan to send 50 Youth coinciding with 50 years of the parish. Subsidized cost is Rs.700 for four days. Parents kindly encourage the youth and send them. On the last day there will be Vasai sightseeing. Retreat forms available in the church office. A bus is organized to take and bring them back. Sponsors are welcome.

9. Dance classes for school children in the age group from 4 yrs to 14 years are conducted every Sunday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the AV Hall. Guitar & Keyboard classes as usual.
10. A trained lady counselor is available on Thursday’s for counseling in English & Hindi from 5:30pm to 7pm. For appointments kindly register in advance in the church office.

12. Congratulations to the Gandhi Nagar, Pratap Nagar and Paras Nagar Communities for a brilliant presentation at the August Happy Hour. This month the Happy Hour will be organized by Janta Colony, Market area & Prem Nagar Community on Saturday 23rd September. Those interested in presenting any skills/talent may contact Shobha, Flora or Apoline.
13. As we celebrate the Golden Jubilee of our parish, we wish to install Solar Panels on the terrace and bring down the cost of high Electricity Bills. The total cost of the Solar Panel project is Rs 26 Lakhs. Those who wish to donate to the church either by cash or cheque are welcome. Cheques to be drawn in the name of INFANT JESUS CHURCH. Kindly pray for this project as we plan to install by October end.
Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs 32,620 /- which is for the Parish Trust. Thank you for your generosity.
