2nd SUNDAY OF LENT – A – 05th MARCH, 2023

                                    NOTICES FOR THE WEEK

  1. In the season of Lent, Stations of the Cross will be in Konkani on Wednesdays at 6:30pm, mass at 7pm in Konkani followed by Hindi Prayer meeting. Parishioners are encouraged to attend the Hindi prayer meeting.
  2. Fridays of Lent will be a special day of personal prayer, penance and fasting. Stations of the Cross at 7pm in English, mass at 7:30 pm in English and silent adoration before the Blessed Sacrament in the Church from 8:00pm to 8:30pm every Friday. Parents are requested to come with their Children and Youth every Friday. Come and spend few moments with Jesus on Fridays.
  3. PYC meeting tomm/today at 10:30 am sharp in the AV Hall.
  4. PPC/ SCC Coordinators have organised an Outdoor Stations of the Cross on Tuesday, 7th March, a public holiday to Our Lady of Velankanni Shrine, Bhate, Uttan.  Four buses booked. All registrations closed.
  5. Mass in Hindi for Hindi speaking parishioners will be celebrated next Sunday and on 19th march at 5:30pm.
  6. Sunday School, Kindly note: Next Sunday is the last day for Sunday school. However children’s masses will continue as usual.
  7. Lenten Confessions in Konkani, Hindi and English will be heard on Monday, 13th and Tuesday, 14th of March from 6pm to 8pm. Kindly prepare well and make a good confession. For Confessions for sick & Homebound, kindly inform your PPC/SCC Coordinators.
  8. LENTEN SPECIAL RETREATS: Kindly refer to the notice board for details about various LENTEN SPECIAL RETREATS AT ATMA DARSHAN. Parishioners are encouraged to attend.
  9.   Konkani Choir practice will take place every Sunday at 6:30pm in the church.
  10. Our Church has three Indian musical instruments i.e Tabla, Harmonium and Dhol. Those who know to play these instruments are requested to inform the parish fathers.
  11. Blood Donation Drive in association with Holy Spirit Hospital is organized on Palm Sunday, 2nd April. Each community has to identify 20 healthy volunteers from each zone. Kindly volunteer. Our target this year is 150 bottles.
  12. Lenten Alms box and envelopes are kept in front of the altar. Collection goes towards the upkeep of the Goregaon seminary.
  13. Community Fund: We are approaching the end of the financial year, you are reminded of your contribution towards the community fund.
  14. The parish fathers and sisters will visit the families residing at Bandrekarwadi on Sunday and Franciswadi on Monday.
  15. Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs 35, 420 /- which is for the parish trust. Thank you for your generosity.
