1ST SUNDAY OF LENT – A – 26TH FEBRUARY, 2023

NOTICES FOR THE WEEK

  1. Kindly pray for our SSC and HSC students as they appear for their Board Exams.
  2. In the season of Lent, Stations of the Cross will be in Konkani on Wednesdays at 6:30pm, mass at 7 pm in Konkani followed by Hindi Prayer meeting. Parishioners are encouraged to attend the Hindi prayer meeting.
  3. Fridays of Lent will be a special day of personal prayer, penance and fasting. Stations of the Cross at 7 pm in English, mass at 7:30 pm in English, and silent adoration before the Blessed Sacrament in the Church from 8:00 pm to 8:30 pm every Friday. Parents are requested to come with their Children and Youth every Friday. Come and spend few moments with Jesus on Fridays.
  4. A joint PPC/SCC meeting will take place on Wednesday, 1st march at 7:45pm in the AV hall. Attendance is compulsory.
  5. Pre Baptism course is organized on Sunday, 5th march from 11 am to 12:30 noon. All expectant parents and God parents to be are required to attend this course. Kindly register in the church office latest by 26th Feb.
  6. PPC/ SCC Coordinators have organised an Outdoor Stations of the Cross on Tuesday, 7th March, a public holiday to Our Lady of Velankanni Shrine, Bhate, Uttan. Those interested kindly give your names to your PPC/SCC coordinators latest by 4th March.
  7. Mass in Hindi for Hindi speaking parishioners will be celebrated on 12th and 19th march at 5:30pm.
  8. All children and Youth are reminded to take your studies seriously. Exams are approaching, kindly work hard.  Every child/youth of our parish community must excel in studies. Any assistance with regard to studies is available, those interested kindly approach the parish fathers.
  9. Konkani Choir practice will take place every Sunday at 6:30 pm in the church. We are in need of people to join the Konkani choir. All those interested in singing at the morning or evening mass, Konkani choir practices every Sunday at 6:30 pm in the church.
  10. Our Church has three Indian musical instruments i.e Tabla, Harmonium, and Dhol. Those who know to play these instruments are requested to inform the parish fathers.
  11. Blood Donation Drive in association with Holy Spirit Hospital is organized on Palm Sunday, 2nd April. Kindly volunteer. Our target this year is 150 bottles.
  12. A gold chain has been found. Kindly contact the church office.
  13. The parish fathers and sisters will visit the families residing at Bandrekarwadi I on Monday.
  14. Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs 20,750 /- which is for the parish trust. Thank you for your generosity.
