A humble beginning was made by Rev. Fr. L. Sequeira by constructing a shed to provide the Catholic resident of Jogeshwari (east), a place of community worship. Simultaneously, sensing the need of a school for the neighbourhood children mainly from the underprivileged class who form the bulk of the population, a Secondary school was started in the same building. This is the story of the beginning of the Infant Jesus School cum Church.
