3rd DECEMBER, 2023 – 1ST SUN OF ADVENT

  1. Talent Dhamaka Competition and felicitation will be held tomm/today from 6:30pm onwards in the Church hall.  All are invited.
  2. A Joint PPC/SCC meeting will be held on Monday, 4th Dec, at 7:45pm in the AV Hall. All are expected to attend this important, short meeting.
  3. Advent Taize Prayer Service is organized on Friday, 8th Dec from 7:30 pm onwards. Children, youth and parishioners are invited. Last year we had a good response, this year too we expect a better response.
  4. Christmas Outreach for Sunday school children from 3rd Std to 10th Std, to Shraddha Vihar, run by Helpers of Mary sisters, (Andheri East) on Sunday, 10th December. Children will interact with orphan kids and inmates of the aged home. Those children interested kindly enlist with your Sunday school teacher. Bus leaves immediately after the children’s mass. Cost per head is Rs 50/-. Children will be back by 1pm.
  5. Christmas Outreach for the Youth of our parish to Assisi Bhavan Aged Home, Gokuldham, Goregaon (East) on Sunday, 10th December. The youth will interact with senior citizens of the Aged Home, sing carols and comfort them. Those youth interested kindly enlist. Cost per head is Rs 50. Bus leaves at 4:15pm sharp.
  6. Christmas Outreach for Confirmation students to the Aged Home, run by Little sisters of the Poor at Mahakali, Andheri (E).
  7. Community leaders and animators are requested to begin singing Christmas Carols in your communities from 10th Dec onwards especially to the homes of Sick and Homebound. Kindly involve the Children & Youth from your community.
  8. We request all our PPC/SCC leaders to hand over Christmas community Star’s by the 8th of December. This year church décor for Christmas will be put up by 8th Dec. Kindly cooperate.
  9. The Theme for the Crib competition this year is Jesus the Prince of Peace. Those communities participating in the competition kindly enlist. 
  10. This year as part of our Christmas mission project our parish will reach out to the 14,000 victims of Manipur Violence living in relief centres in Churachandpur. One hamper costs Rs 2500/- and it includes blanket, muffler, woolen hat & socks, thermoflask and water purifier. As we prepare to celebrate Christmas, remember our suffering brethren in Manipur enduring severe biting cold in very poor living conditions in relief centers as homeless and helpless. Kindly reach out generously as our parish Christmas mission. Bank details & QR Code is mentioned on the poster itself. Kindly share the poster with all.

Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs. 38,000/- which is for the church trust. Thank you for your generosity.
