7th Sunday – Ordinary Time
- Fridays of Lent is a day of Prayer, fasting, Abstinence and Almsgiving.
- This year we introduce SILENT FASTING WARRIORS. Fasting and praying on Fridays. Adults and Youth are invited to become fasting warriors.
- Stations of the Cross will be conducted on Wednesdays in Konkani at 6:30pm followed by Mass at 7pm.
- Stations of the Cross will be conducted on Fridays in English at 7pm followed by mass at 7:30pm and guided Eucharistic Adoration from 8pm to 8:30pm. Parents are requested to come with their Children and Youth and spend few moments with Jesus every Friday.
- This year in the season of Lent we will have semi night vigils from 9:30pm to 11:30pm in the church on Saturday’s. Next Saturday, we will have a general Examination of Conscience. You will be prepared to make a good confession. All are invited.
- Next Sunday, Sunday school will celebrate Handshake day and Gadget free Sunday. Next Sunday is no mobile phone Sunday. Parishioners are invited to observe no gadget day once a week.
- Outdoor Stations of the Cross to Don Bosco, Karjat on March 8th, a public Holiday. Cost per head is Rs 370. Those interested kindly give your names to your PPC/SCC members latest by March 1st.
- Holy Spirit Hospital will conduct Blood Donation Drive in our parish on Sunday, 17th March. On the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of our parish our target is 100 bottles of blood this year. Kindly donate blood especially youth and adults from 18 years upto 58 years. Those having diabetes, pressure and on medications are not eligible. No alcoholic drinks prior to 24 hours of blood donation. For any clarification doctors will be available on the day of blood donation.
- The parish intends to start a new group of Men Sodalists. The inaugural meeting will be on Saturday 2nd March at 5:00pm. All men are invited to join the Men’s sodality group.
- We have installed a big fan on trial basis for better air ventilation for parishioners. The cost of one fan is Rs. 1, 15,000. We need 4 such fans. If the parish council approves of the project then a collection will be made community wise.
