1st OCTOBER, 2023 –26th SUNDAY (OT- A)

  1. Today is Thanksgiving Sunday. As we celebrate the Golden Jubilee of our parish, we celebrate Thanksgiving Day in our parish by coming together as individual communities over prayers and Community Agape meal. Parishioners are encouraged to join in large numbers in their community agape meal and celebrate God’s faithfulness as a community. Your PPC/SCC members will inform you of the date and time. Stay connected.
  2. On October 1st as we observe Thanksgiving Day, we celebrate Appreciation day in our parish. Appreciation cards/Thank you Cards will be placed in front of the altar. You can take as many as you want. Kindly appreciate one another and spread cheer. Sunday school children will get cards in their own classroom.
  3. Tomorrow, 2nd October Monday, being a public holiday, a training session for all PPC/SCC coordinators and animators is organized from 9:30am to 11:30am in the AV Hall. It is compulsory for all to attend.
  4. Tomorrow, Monday, 2nd October, confessions in English, Hindi, Konkani and Marathi will be heard from 5:30pm to 7pm. Parishioners are requested to prepare well and come. Parents kindly encourage your children and youth for this important sacrament.
  5. As the monsoon is receding, children studying at Infant Jesus secondary section are expected to attend the morning mass and then attend school. Parents kindly encourage your children.
  6. Every Friday there is mass for School children and youth in the evening followed by games. Parents kindly send your kids for Friday evening mass.
  7. Happy Hour in the month of October will be held on Saturday, 21st Oct and organized by Koliwada, Subhash Nagar and Natwar Nagar Communities. Those interested in presenting any skills/talent from any communities may contact Ambrose, Lily or Wilson.
  8. It is being observed parishioners are coming late for mass on Sundays. At every Eucharist we celebrate the Passion, Death and Resurrection of our Lord.  Kindly respect the Sacredness of the Eucharist and of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. Please come before time and prepare well so that you may participate worthily and receive manifold graces and blessings. PLEASE AVOID COMING LATE FOR MASS.
  9. Those who wish to donate to the church either by cash or cheque for the SOLAR PANEL PROJECT are welcome. Cheques to be drawn in the name of INFANT JESUS CHURCH.
  10. Talent Dhamaka, talent contest at the parish level will be held on 2nd & 3rd December. This year 25 categories have been made available for parishioners to contest. Registration forms available in the church office. Last date to submit forms is 15th October. Kindly participate in large numbers.
  11. IJYM Youth is organizing an Inter Parish Talent Competition for the youth in the month of January. The Youth are raising funds for the event. A news paper drive will be organized in the parish on Sunday, 5th November. Kindly collect all the newspapers at your homes and keep as our youth will come to your area to collect it.
  12. Parish fathers and sisters will visit catholic families residing at Janta Colony on Monday evening.

Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs-38,487 /- which is for the Church Trust. Thank you for your generosity.
