17th DECEMBER, 2023 – 3rd SUN OF ADVENT

  1. Community leaders and animators are requested to begin singing Christmas Carols in your    communities especially to the homes of Sick and Homebound. Kindly involve the Children & Youth from your community.
  2. Community wise Christmas carol singing festival is organized tomm/today from 6:30pm onwards in the church. All are invited to participate and celebrate in the spirit of Christmas. Dress code is Christmas Theme. Prizes for best dressed is organized. Bumper Housie Full House is Rs 5000.
  3. The Theme for the Crib competition this year is Jesus the Prince of Peace. Those communities participating in the competition kindly enlist. 
  4. As part of our Christmas mission project kindly reach out to the 14,000 victims of Manipur Violence living in relief centres in Churachandpur. One hamper costs Rs 2500/- and it includes blanket, muffler, woolen hat & socks, thermoflask and water purifier. As we prepare to celebrate Christmas, remember our suffering brethren in Manipur enduring severe biting cold in very poor living conditions in relief centers as homeless and helpless. Kindly reach out generously as our parish Christmas mission. Bank details & QR Code is mentioned on the poster itself. Kindly share the poster with all.
  5. Bible Diaries are available in the church office. One copy costs Rs 100. Market rate is Rs 230. Limited copies only.
  6. Christmas party for Sunday school children is organized by Sunday school catechists on Saturday, 23rd Dec from 10am to 12:30noon.  All Sunday school children to attend the Christmas party. Dress code: Christmas Theme.
  7. The parish is looking for part time Accounts clerk. Those interested kindly apply with an application to the parish priest.
  8. Next Sunday 24th Dec, mass timings in the morning is as follows – Konkani Mass at 7am and only one mass in English at 9am. This year Christmas Night mass in the evening is at Snehasadan grounds, Shankarwadi.  Carol Singing begins at 10pm and Mass at 10:30pm. We request our parishioners to come in large numbers and worship together as one community of Faith. On Christmas day, 25th morning, only one mass in English at 8am. No evening mass.
  9. Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs. 25,400/- which is for the Archdiocese. Thank you for   your generosity.
