10th DECEMBER, 2023 – 2nd SUN OF ADVENT

  1. Sunday school children, Youth and Confirmation students will have their Christmas Social Outreach to the Aged Homes tomm/today.
  2. A short joint meeting of parents of First Holy Communicants and Confirmation students is organized tomm/today at 7:15pm in the school classroom on the first floor.
  3. Community leaders and animators are requested to begin singing Christmas Carols in your    communities from 10th Dec onwards especially to the homes of Sick and Homebound. Kindly involve the    Children & Youth from your community.
  4. We request all our PPC/SCC leaders to hand over Christmas community Star’s by the 10th of December. Kindly cooperate.
  5. Advent confessions will be heard in English, Hindi, Konkani & Marathi on Monday, 11th and Tuesday, 12th Dec from 6pm onwards in the church. Guest priests will be available.
  6. A special class for parents of Sunday school children will be held on Sunday, 17th Dec. All parents to attend Sunday school along with your kids. Children to get the piggy banks along with them next Sunday. Children to sit with parent’s at children’s mass.
  7. Mass for sick and Homebound will be held next Sunday at 11am in the church. Kindly help in getting the sick, elderly senior citizens to the church for mass.
  8. Community wise Christmas carol singing festival is organized on Sunday, 17th Dec from 6:30pm onwards in the church. All communities of our parish are expected to start practice singing Christmas carols and present them as a Tableau. All are invited to participate and celebrate in the spirit of Christmas. Dress code is Christmas and colourful. Prizes for best dressed is organized.
  9. If any marginalized parishioner, child or youth from our parish wishes to have new clothes for Christmas kindly give your name to your PPC/SCC member by the 10th of December. Do not hesitate or feel shy to enlist. Ask and you shall receive.
  10. The Theme for the Crib competition this year is Jesus the Prince of Peace. Those communities participating in the competition kindly enlist. 
  11. This year as part of our Christmas mission project our parish will reach out to the 14,000 victims of Manipur Violence living in relief centres in Churachandpur. One hamper costs Rs 2500/- and it includes blanket, muffler, woolen hat & socks, thermoflask and water purifier. As we prepare to celebrate Christmas, remember our suffering brethren in Manipur enduring severe biting cold in very poor living conditions in relief centers as homeless and helpless. Kindly reach out generously as our parish Christmas mission. Bank details & QR Code is mentioned on the poster itself. Kindly share the poster with all.
  12. Christmas party for Sunday school children is organized on Saturday, 23rd Dec.
  13. The parish office is looking for part time Accounts clerk. Those interested kindly apply with an application to the parish priest.

      Last Sunday’s collection amounted to Rs. 30,843/- which is for the church trust. Thank you for   your generosity.
